STOLEN
Restlessness, chaos, anticipation, stagnation, fleeting moments of certainty — these seemingly conflicting feelings layer upon one another at the same moment, forming the true texture of our present inner state and the world around us. They pull against each other, yet on a higher level come together as a whole. This is precisely why "cacophony" and "symphony" can exist at the same time.
The contemporary world itself is a paradox. When we are immersed in it, everything feels overwhelmingly noisy; restlessness and contradiction are everywhere. Society keeps filling itself with all kinds of "placebos", from which we try to draw brief moments of relief and escape.Yet when the perspective pulls back, those conflicting voices and emotions, the contradictory actions and currents of the times, begin to reveal an inexpressible sense of order. "Cacophonic Symphony" is a response to this condition.
EDITH is a three-piece post punk/noise-rock band from Central Bohemia playing in the line-up of 2 basses - drums - vocals. Yes, EDITH don‘t have a guitar, they crush it with two basses and it‘s a ride! Straightforward songs with Czech lyrics are captivating with their energy and lead to deeper reflection. The band has gone through several personal and stylistic phases from minimalist post-noise-core, through a darker post-rock position to today‘s rolling post punk/noise-rock. They have 2 original, long-playing albums to their credit and perform throughout the country with occasional trips abroad.
