performance by Fringe Theatre from Be'er-Sheva

The ancient Kabbalistic ritual of Goral HaGra, traditionally performed only in times of utmost distress, seeks to reveal answers about human fate through a randomly selected verse from the Torah. The production is inspired by a real event from 1950, when Rabbi Aryeh Levin conducted the ritual in an attempt to identify the remains of fallen soldiers from the Lamed-Heh platoon.

Moving between living cinema and visual theatre, this evocative performance combines nonverbal acting, movement, music, lighting design, archival materials and immersive video projections. The result is a hypnotic stage experience that opens questions of faith, memory, sacrifice and the creation of national myths.

Performance with Czech and English subtitles, duration 50 minutes.
