Guided Walk Along the Stolpersteine Commemorating the Stern, Wittal and Stiassni Families, Including a Tour of Villa Wittal
CZK 100
At the end of October, new Stolpersteine (Stumbling Stones) were laid in the presence of descendants of the Stern, Stiassni and Wittal families. The stones commemorate the lives of people who once lived as close neighbours on Hroznová Street in Brno. Now, their stories are also being shared with the public through a new printed guide.
To mark the guide’s launch, its author, Michal Doležel, will lead a guided walk connecting the individual Stolpersteine. Along the way, he will share the stories of the three families, their homes and the world that was profoundly changed by Nazi persecution and the war.
An audio guide is also being developed alongside the printed publication, allowing visitors to explore the stories of the Stern, Stiassni and Wittal families at their own pace, whenever they wish.
Three families. Three neighbouring houses. And stories that, after decades, are finding their way back to the streets of Brno.
