Placzek Villa, which had fallen into a state of severe disrepair, was purchased by Jan Dašovský, who began its restoration in 2023. From August 2026, it will serve as accommodation for guests of RAF HOUSE. The villa will offer 25 rooms, a large and a small hall, a lounge, a dining room, and an extensive garden colonnade suitable for weddings and outdoor celebrations.
Before the Second World War, the villa served as the summer residence of the family of Alfred Placzek, a prominent Moravian Jewish industrialist. Owing to his strong social commitment and care for those in need, he was awarded honorary citizenship of Alexovice. Tragically, this did not protect him and his wife from Nazi persecution. During the war, both were deported to a concentration camp, where they perished.
The tour will be conducted in Czech with English interpretation.
